Office Policies

To help prevent the spread of disease and keep ourselves and our patients safe, we conduct appointments by telemedicine using the HIPAA-compliant service doxy.me. The doctors will see patients in office only to fulfill the legal requirements for prescribing controlled substances.

How Do I Access My Appointment?

Patients should use their computer, tablet, or smartphone enabled with camera and microphone to visit the following link a few minutes before their appointment: http://doxy.me/drallenstark for patients of Dr. Allen, and http://doxy.me/carolstark for patients of Dr. Carol. The link will take you to a virtual waiting room. When the doctor is ready to start your appointment, they will pick up the call and the video chat will begin.

What About My Copay?

During your telemedicine appointment, the doctor will ask you for your credit card information so that they can run your card for your copay, coinsurance, deductible, or self pay payment. You may also put a credit card on file with us for automatic payments. Payments are due at time of service.

Patients may pay their balance online using this link or the button on the right.

What About My Prescription?

Our office will e-prescribe prescriptions for you to your pharmacy of record. Patients must inform us if they are using a new pharmacy (one we have not communicated with in the past).

What About Making Appointments?

Patients should call the front desk at 503-635-9336, extension 1, or email us to request appointments. The front desk staff will call, email, or text you back as soon as possible.

What About Emergencies?

If you experience a medical emergency, please call 9-1-1. If you have an urgent need to reach your doctor, please leave a message on your doctor's urgent voicemail, accessible by reaching your doctor's voicemail (503-635-9336; extension 2 for Dr Carol, extension 3 for Dr Allen) and dialing "0," then leaving a messge. Your doctor will be paged.

How Do I Get Appointment Reminders?

Our office uses the Kareo/Tebra EHR. New patients receive a Consent to E-Communications form as part of their intake paperwork. If you have not filled out this form to either decline or accept communication through the EHR, including appointment reminders by text, email, or phone call, please click the link to do so. If you decline electronic communications, you will not recieve appointment reminders.
